Yes, we were a little crazy

when we accepted the challenges of creating our UTMT here in Sri Lanka. Were? Actually, a little bit of “crazy for you” runs like a common thread through our entire lives, a thread, along which are also strung in 5 of our places of entertainment in our 5 most favorite places in this world.

Escaping to paradise

We moved with our three children to this wonderful land in order to create our own piece of paradise, a house on the sea. With that dream in mind, we looked for the perfect plot of land – and found it. Above the Indian Ocean, the soothing whisper of the surf in our ears 24 hours a day, gazing out towards an endless horizon. Tears of happiness. And the beginning of a long journey. One that again involved searching – and finding. Searching for people, ideas, plans, planners, implementers, pioneers and good spirits, who were able to accept our craziness and stubbornness, and who were willing to create an extraordinary home for us as well as our guests.

Our heart was here to stay.

Lots of sweat, a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, a long breath, confidence, patience and our belief that we could create something very special, ultimately brought us to our goal. To UTMT, which has so enriched our lives, and hopefully will soon enrich yours, too. After years of planning and building, we had to return to Austria, because of the kids and school. Though our heart remained. And continues to beat in the extraordinary employees who exemplify and carry on the Hollmann spirit so marvelously.
