Vienna the fairytale city
The most liveable city in the world
In 1922, Hermann Leopoldi composed the waltz "Vienna, dying fairytale city". Vienna, the fairytale city, today as then, is more lively than anywhere else. We would like to invite you to experience the magic of Vienna directly from our hotel.
The unique
1st district
Just a few minutes away from the Hollmann Beletage is St Stephen's Square with St Stephen's Cathedral. Consecrated in 1147 AD, the cathedral has characterised the cityscape of Vienna for over 800 years. You can admire the cathedral from the outside and inside. Guided tours of the cathedral and the catacombs are also available. For a fabulous view over Vienna's city centre, you can climb the stairs of the north or south tower for €2 to €6 (cash only).
It is not far from St Stephen's Cathedral to Vienna's Ringstrasse. Emperor Franz Joseph had the Ringstrasse built in 1857 with the words "It is my will ...". Today you can marvel at the great wonders of Viennese architecture along the street. You will find the State Opera, City Hall, Parliament, the Burgtheater, the University of Vienna, the Votive Church and the Vienna Stock Exchange. Nearby you can visit the Museum of Art History and the Natural History Museum. The museums house the "realms of nature" and "unique art treasures" from all over the world. For a short break, you can take a seat in one of the many traditional coffee houses with Viennese flair.
Also worth seeing is the Hofburg with its public garden and castle garden. The Hofburg was the main residence of the Habsburgs for several centuries. Today, the 24-hectare building complex is home to the official residence of the President of Austria, the National Library and event and congress rooms. You can also discover the Spanish Riding School, the Albertina, the Sisi Museum, the Imperial Treasury and Heldenplatz.

Always worth a visit - not only for families - is the zoo in Schöbrunn.
The Belvedere Palace is located in the 3rd district. An attraction for all art and architecture lovers. Between the trees and graves, you can always spot animals such as deer, squirrels and ravens.
Far beyond Austria's borders, the Prater is one of Vienna's most famous sights. From the Hollmann Beletage you can reach the Prater in 10 minutes on the U1 underground line.
