Where do I have to wear a mask (FFP2) ?
- in Vienna mandatory ffp2-mask wearing in public transportation, as well as the stops and stations and combining buildings, and in supermarkets and all kind of shops
- as well as at indoor and outdoor leisure facilities (e.g. cinema, museums, zoo, shops) and in taxis
What is open?
In Austria hotels, restaurants, cafés and leisure facilities reopened on May 19th 2021.
What admission regulations apply to the open establishments?
In order to enter hotels, gastronomy and leisure establishments as well as events people from the age of 6 must provide one of the following proofs:
- Officially reccognized test result:
- Negative PCR-test valid for 48 hours after sampling
- Proof of vaccination:
- Under the 3G rule, you need to be fully vaccinated (two doses). A full vaccination is valid for the 3G rule for a total of 270 days (nine months) from the day you received your 2nd dose.
- For vaccinations, where only 1 vaccination is necessary, the proof is valid after the 22nd day until 9 month after vaccination.
- Proof of recovery:
- A medical confirmation of an infection that has taken place in the last 6 months and has been recovered.
What else is there to bear in mind?
In case you stay longer than 15 minutes at a hotel or restaurant or other facility you have to register with your name and contact details. For entering the night gastronomy you have to be vaccinated or recovered. With a negative PCR-test or antigen test you are not longer allowed to enter - 2G rule.
Do events take place?
Yes, events are finally happening again. In order to be safe they have to comply with certain measures and only a limited number of participants is allowed.For events of 25 person applies the "2G" rules (vaccinated or PCR tested)
Where is it possible for me to get tested?
In the close neighbourhood of the hotel you find 3 pharmacies which offer Antigen Rapid Tests with a prior made appointment:
- Apotheke zum Weißen Storch, Tuchlauben 9, Mo-Fr 8am - 6pm, Sa 8am - 5pm, € 25,- or free of charge with Austrian health security
- Apotheke zum Roten Krebs, Hoher Markt 1, Mo-Th 8am - 6pm, € 35,- or free of charge with Austrian health security
- Apotheke zum Römischen Kaiser, Wollzeile 13, Tu+Th+Fr 6-8pm, €25,- or free of charge with Austrian health security
What to do if I need a test certificate spontaneously?
In case you did not have the chance to organise a covid test appointment in advance, people, who live in Austria, can also use a rapid self test and get a certificate online. Please find more details here. The certificate is valid 24 hours after sampling, but not in Vienna! In expectional cases for hotel guests a antigen test is valid.

What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation is possible until 1 day, 4pm before arrival. For stays during new-year (29-31.12) or congresses (3.-6.3.2022) free cancellation is possible until 7 days before arrival. In case of late cancellation or no-shows we will charge the total amount of the reservation. Early departures are considered as partly cancellations. Cancellations must be made in written.
What is the difference between prepaid and standard rates?
Our prepaid rates are non-refundable, which means that payment of the full amount is due on the day of booking. In case of a cancellation or modificiation no refunds can be made. Our standard rates are flexible and can be cancelled 1 day, 4 pm before arrival free of charge.
How to get from the airport to the hotel?
We will gladly arrange a transfer from the airport to our hotel. Please send us your time of arrival and flight number. Price p. car is € 42,-/one way. You can also take the train S7 to Landstraßer Hauptstraße and then switch into the underground U4 direction Heiligenstadt and get off at Schwedenplatz. Then it is a short walk only.
How long does it take by car or bus from the airport to the hotel?
Depending on traffic 20-30 minutes.
When can I check-in?
Check-in is at 2pm. Should you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with us and start your holiday immediately. Often your room will be available earlier.
Where can I park my car?
We have limited parking in the courtyard next to our hotel. The price per day is EUR 24,00 The courtyard is open from 7 am to 9 pm. If you need your card outside these hours please contact us - there are other parking possibilities in garages nearby.
How much is a taxi from the airport to the hotel?
The prices are mostly higher than EUR 42,00. If you book your taxi with us in advance the price is always EUR 42,00 and will be put on your bill. In order to book the taxi we kindly ask you to provide us your flight number and arrival time.
How can I check in outside reception hours?
Don't worry! In case of an arrival outside the reception hours we will provide you with the entrance code so you have access to the hotel. I you cannot find this code, please do not hesitate to contact us - we will be happy to help you! As soon as you are inside the building, our hotel elevator will take you to the 2nd floor, where your room key and further information will be waiting for you at the reception desk.
How long is reception available?
Until further notice our reception hours are Monday to Sunday from 7am until 8pm. In case of emergencies you can reach us by phone. All important information will be sent to you in your confirmation letter.
Are there connecting rooms?
We are happy to offer you a Residenz XL room with a connecting door to a Residenz L room. The Residenz XL room offers space for max. 4 people. Whereas the Residenz L room offers space for 2 people (twin beds possible) - so you have space for max. 6 guests. These rooms are in great demand, so don't think twice - contact us! This arrangement can only be booked directly with us.
Is it possible to have an extra bed in the room?
Our room rates are valid for 2 people, per room and night. The following surcharges apply for additional guests in the room:
- Cot per child 0-2 years: 10 EUR
- Extra bed per child 3-11 years: 30 EUR
- Extra bed per adult +12years: 55 EUR
Can I bring my dog with me?
Yes, feel free to bring your dog with you. Cleaning fee: € 15 per night. We will prepare a pet bed and food bowl for your dog in the room.
What about internet?
There is free Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas. We also offer free iPads for the length of your stay.
Is there a laundry service?
Yes. Leave the laundry bag, which you will find in your room, with us and we will take care of the laundry.
Which rooms are suitable for families?
Our Residenz XL rooms offer room for up to 4 people. It has one king size bed as well as one big extra bed for 2 people. Also our Suite Séparéé offers more than enough space for families.
Eat & Drink
Do you also provide lactose and gluten -free meals?
We are happy to serve your nutritional needs. Please let us know about any special diet in advance.
Can I drink water from the tab?
Yes, you can! The tap water, coming from the Alps, is of perfect drinking quality!
Is there a hotel bar or restaurant?
There is no hotel bar or restaurant, however you find many good restaurants within walking distance. Whether you are looking for fine dining or something more rustic - there are plenty of options close by. Our reception team will gladly provide you with suggestions and assist you with booking a table. Also there are many nice bars around this area.
Is it possible to receive a lunch bag in case of early departure?
We are happy to provide you with a lunch bag. Please let our reception team know the day before.
What are the breakfast hours?
Our amazing breakfast is served daily from 7am to 11.30am. We serve breakfast to your room free of charge.
May I invite friends over for breakfast?
External guests are always welcome. Just let us know in advance so we have time to prepare some extra food. The price is EUR 29,00 per person and includes all beverages.
When is check out time?
We kindly ask you to leave your room until 12am. Late check/out can be granted upon availability. A storage room, lockers and changing rooms are at your disposal, in order to make use of the resort until the last minute of your stay. Late check-outs are subject to availability and cost the following: until 2pm EUR 25,00 until 4pm EUR 50,00 until 6pm EUR 75,00 From 6pm on the entire night will be charged.
What if I have to leave early?
You can either check out the day before departure or provide us with your credit card details so we can charge the total amount to your card and send you the invoice via e-mail. You can either leave your room keys at the reception desk or in your room.
