Ile Saint Louis
in the heart of Paris
One of the top addresses in Paris: the Quai d’Anjou on Île Saint Louis. Located in the heart of the city, on the smaller of two islands with the River Seine flowing by. The other, the Île de la Cité, is very much dominated by the mighty Gothic cathedral of Nôtre Dame … Every visitor to Paris passes by there, the confusion of people and languages is phenomenal. In contrast, the Île Saint Louis, free of the major tourist hotspots, is home to quiet residential streets infused with the flair of Paris’s own citoyens.
A medieval village
Small neighborhood bakeries treat their customers to crispy baguettes and other typical delicacies. Milk, butter and jam are just a few steps away at the next shop. But if you prefer to go out and have breakfast served to you with Parisian charm, the Saint Regis is highly recommended, our local tip here on the Île. Essentially in the wake of Nôtre Dame.
